Vulnerability

While reading a kid’s science book, swotting up for pub chat, I discovered there’s a place on the human head where we are at our most vulnerable.

Apparently, it applies to everyone, no matter how tough, no matter how big, no matter how strong.

So I found the biggest man I could, and that is where I kissed him.

Because he was such a big man, when I ran away he could not keep up.

But he did catch up to me, in a café a few weeks later.

I was sitting there, reading my book and drinking tea.

The door opens, and in he walks.

He clocked me straight away, or perhaps already had from outside.

Hands up, I began to explain that I was only proving a silly point about the human design, and offered him half of my sausage roll, which he took.

As a thank you, he gave me a peck on the cheek.
