I was told not to count my chickens before they hatched.
But I did count them.
After they hatched, I counted them again: nine baby chickens, which was exactly what I made it when I counted them before they hatched.
I left them there, pecking at their shells, while I went to see if the hair dye had dried on the leopard yet.
